Patanjali, the great scholar, has written extensively on Sanskrit grammar based on detailed discussion on Panini Grammar, which is available to us even today as the Mahabhashya. Scholars continue to explore the treasure of knowledge available in this great treatise.
Sri Krishna Kumar has dedicated his entire life to the study of Sanskrit grammar making the treasures available to all as through his post as the Head of the Department of Vyakrana Study at the Govt Sanskrit College, Tripunitura, through his teaching and inspiring students, through his research and publications. His study began at a very early age gaining knowledge from his Guru, his father. Himself a great Sanskrit Scholar, he continues his work beyond his retirement. This is only the part one of many more to come. He has been recognised for his contribution by the Sankaracharya of Shringeri and also Kanchi and awarded the ‘suvarna-mala’.
